The National Golf Foundation states that there is good news in its numbers: 2009 rounds are up 5 percent nationally, though down overall for a ten-year stretch. Golfers tend to stay closer to home with 52% (no decrease in golfing due to the economy), 34% (fewer trips), 22% (spending less), and 2% (economic setbacks).
