Celebrating New Year's in India

Over the years, New Year has become a national festival in many countries of the world such as India where it is approached with as much excitement and enthusiasm as found at Times Square in NYC. India punctuates its festivities with prayers and feasting, too, yet celebrates the event differently in various cities around the country, with the smaller cities tending toward a less energetic manner.
