Incoming Tide at the Cherry Grove Pier
Date Published: Fri, Feb 5th 2010, 15:04This is a photo of the 11:43 AM low tide last week at the Cherry Grove Pier as a wave makes its way back into shore. The moonrise occurred at 2:50 PM, pulling at the tidal waters like a magnet. Especially low and especially high tides occur when the sun and moon are aligned. Tides affect fishing activity, too, with more action by the fish because of light changes and the feeding opportunities.
