Bluegrass Music, Our Southern Heritage

A sub-section of country music, bluegrass evolved from immigrants to the US. They brought music from Africa, UK, and Ireland when they settled in Appalachia and then improvised. In bluegrass, each instrument takes its turn in the spotlight. South Carolina has many bluegrass concerts; check with Conway for its events (843.457.2854) or Moncks Corner (843.899.4069).
