Catching Fish on the Cherry Grove Pier

On October 3rd, the pier hosted its first annual fishing day called “Salute to Disabled Veterans,” also co-sponsored by the Seacoast Anglers Association (VFW Post 10805). Most veterans participating in the tournament were from the Korean War and Second World War era – from nurses to combat troops to officers, and the event included a boxed lunch, tackle, and plenty of fun.
