"Black" Friday Shoppers Rev their Engines

Search engines indicate that shoppers built themselves to a frenzy preparing for shopping on the day after Thanksgiving when historically retailers slash prices. Some stores "leaked" insider information on deals: Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and others have many look-up hits. Word on the street is that some retailers will sell electronics such as giant plasma TV's for only hundreds, not thousands, of dollars. It's going to be a long day for salesclerks.

Island Tour of Homes

The Museum of Coastal Carolina on Ocean Isle Beach, NC (just 20 minutes from Prince Resort) holds an Island Home Tour on December 5th, 3 PM to 5 PM. Afterward, come to the Island Good Time reception and auction, 5 PM to 7 PM. Beautiful coastal homes open for you to see their gorgeous interior design. Yachts for Tots in North Myrtle Beach

The Intracoastal Christmas Regatta launched the holidays with attendance went well over 30,000 on Saturday. People lined the Intracoastal Waterway up and down the cruising area. The event, called "Yachts for Tots," also generated many donations of toys for the area's children who are especially in need this year, one of the most difficult economically that we have experienced in a very long time. November 26th and Counting

What did you do on November 26th? The day was more than just Thanksgiving. It was the 330th day of the year, with 35 remaining days before 2010, in case anyone regrets the end of 2009. In 1778 Captain James Cook became the first European to visit Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. On this same day in 2003, the turbo-powered, supersonic passenger airliner called Concord made its final flight over Bristol, England.
