The revised opening of the new North Myrtle Beach Connector road is August 31st. This route will take drivers from/to Main Street in North Myrtle Beach from/to the west, linking to Highway 31 and Highway 9. Some residents see this new road as an opportunity. Others see it as one more element of change, something needing to be addressed. Expectations run high either way, with the potential for economic values to rise in the area.

If you vacation at the beach and find yourself under one of our passing summer showers, the sun just might be shining at the same time. That is because the water-laden clouds are so well defined. The rain won’t spoil your vacation because often the downpour moves quickly. Look for a double, even triple, rainbow and count yourself lucky! Nature’s beauty will enhance your vacation memories!

Though not in South Carolina, this is a big fish story nevertheless. A North Carolina man reeled in a huge 1,062 pound blue marlin off the Maryland coast near Ocean City, taking 3 hours. Aboard the boat No Problem out of Fenwick Island, Delaware, Robert Ferris broke a 20-year Maryland record at the White Marlin Open Tournament. His fish is valued at $550,000. His memories are priceless.
