If you’re planning an end of summer vacation and looking for things to do we have plenty of activities coming up just in time for the change of seasons. This is a great time to be at the beach because there are just overall less people due to families returning home in time for the start of school. Once August is over the temperatures will begin to cool off just a bit so we can all relax and enjoy the following events. Mark your calendar now so you don’t miss any!

 
Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival
Location:
Horry-Georgetown Technical College Conference Center near Market Common
950 Crabtree Lane, Myrtle Beach
When: Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 1 & 2
The Beach, Boogie and BBQ Festival is an Official BBQ Championship of South Carolina with over $8,600 in cash and prizes up for grabs by 25+ BBQ teams competing for points and lots of bragging rights!

 

Dog Days Blues and Jazz Fest
Location: La Belle Amie Vineyard, Little River, SC
When: Saturday, September 16 from 12-5 p.m.
Come enjoy great wine, jazz and blues. Tickets are $8.

 

Aynor Hoe Down Festival
Location: Aynor Town Park
When: Saturday, September 16 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Hundreds of arts and crafts and food vendors, musical and children’s entertainment, a parade and street dancing.

 

Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival
Where: Huntington Beach State Park
When: Friday-Sunday, Sept. 22-24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Come enjoy fine art, live music and food vendors with the park’s natural beauty as a backdrop.

 

Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art
Location: Pawleys Island
When: September 30 through October 21
Annual festival that features musical performances as well as art throughout the town. A variety of events make up this festival including Chalk Under the Oaks, Food & Wine Gala, musical performances and more.

 

14th Annual Irish Italian International Festival
Location: Main Street, North Myrtle Beach
When: Saturday, September 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Festival includes two stages of live entertainment, food from local restaurants, street performers, art & craft vendors and dance groups. Rain or shine.

 

Brookgreen Harvest Home Weekend Festival
Location: Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet
When: Saturday and Sunday, October 7 & 8
We will have everyone’s favorite activities such as hayrides, scarecrow building, pumpkin painting, entertainment and food served under a big tent.
